'Captives' cast at Cannes 2014 photocall

by Hannah Ikin -

It's day three of the 2014 Cannes Film Festival and today, May 16, marks the premiere of Canadian director Atom Egoyan's highly anticipated film, Captives. Ryan Reynolds, Rosario Dawson, and Mireille Enos star in the thriller.

The photocall

This afternoon, the director and cast appeared at a photocall in preparation for the big premiere in the evening. Ryan, Rosario, and Mireille looked relaxed and happy as they put on a show for the photographers in the blissful Cannes sunshine. The trio laughed, pouted, and jumped around with all eyes on them.

With Captives being one of three Canadian films in the Competition this year, the cast of the film obviously has a lot to smile about!

Good style

Of course, the stars didn't just seem to feel good, they looked good as well! Let's take a peek at their day time ensembles:

Ryan Reynolds

This was the first time that Ryan has made an appearance at Cannes since becoming a L'Oréal Paris brand ambassador and he was certainly looking "worth it" for the occasion. The actor was dapper in a brown blazer with navy pants and gingham checked shirt. He left the shirt unbuttoned at the neck to keep his look daytime appropriate, with a pocket square adding a touch of class to his look.

Paired with a retro hairstyle, tanned skin and short stubble, Ryan's outfit didn't fail to impress!

Rosario Dawson & Mireille Enos

Rosario and Mireille appeared to be as thick as thieves at the photocall as they clowned around together in front of the cameras. The two were clearly channeling the same style wavelengths as they showed off their coordinated hairstyles. While Rosario took the plunge and committed to an edgy undercut, Mireille opted for a tamer version of the look by simply pinning her hair to one side.

Rosario wore a paint-splattered dress with lots of color, which perfectly reflected her artistic and bubbly personality. Again, Mireille went for a softer effect in a swing dress that featured a cherry blossom motif... perfect for spring!

We can't wait to see what the cast of Captives wears to the premiere tonight!
