Negative Space Nail Art for Winter 2015-16!

"Negative space" nail art: a new trend to try!

If you're one to follow the latest beauty trends, then you may have already heard about negative space eyeliner: a graphic take on the classic cat eye that leaves a "negative space" to show some skin. Now, this gorgeous trend has travelled to the fingertips in the form of negative space nail art and we love it!

On Instagram, there are already over 12,000 posts with the hashtag #negativespacenails, proving that nail art lovers all over the world are rapidly trying the trend using different designs and colorways to suit their personality! Why is it so popular? Because it's a great way to give the nails a modern, runway-ready edge that's versatile enough to work just as well on campus as it does in the office!

To keep things simple, opt for a negative space look using one color such as black, red, orange, pastel pink, oxblood or gold. Or, go wild with two or more shades to create a truly attention-grabbing look using a mix of squares, triangles, and half circles. Just make sure to protect your work of art by starting and finishing your manicure with base and top coats: when it comes to negative space, chips don't count!
