Black kohl eyeliner is a makeup bag essential and a true beauty classic, but do you know how to use it? In 2015, kohl is branching out beyond the waterline to create some truly stand-out looks. Today, Get the Look brings you three gorgeous makeup looks from the Spring-Summer 2015 runways to breathe new life into your beauty routine using a trusty old standby. Here they are...
The "barely there beauty" trend shows no signs of going anywhere and this look is exactly that, with an added edgy touch thanks to black kohl rimmed eyes!
To recreate the look, apply black eyeliner along the waterline and top lashline, working into the corners of the eyes so they meet on both ends. Then, take a smudge brush to soften the lines.
Winged eyeliner was probably the most popular beauty trend of 2014, but in 2015 we're all about upping the drama. Enter: this gorgeous graphic approach!
Apply an eye makeup primer onto the lid and along the bottom lash lines. Then, use a liquid black liner to create a cat eye flick along the top lash lines. Next, use the liner to create a line along the bottom lash lines and extend the line out slightly longer at the outer corner to create a cat flick beneath. Then, create another line under that that follows the same curve as the eye shape.
"Undone" makeup looks were all the rage on this year's runways and this smoky halo from Roberto Cavalli is certainly one to rule them all!
Recreate the look at home by applying eye makeup primer and then using a smoky liner on the top lid, up to the creaseline, and then extended out to where the brow bone ends. Fill in the entire lid. Then, apply the product along the bottom lashline. Intensify the area right around the eyes with a black kohl pencil.
So, which one will you try?
