When it comes to trying out new hairstyles, we tend to wait until the weekend. Why? Well, in case something goes totally wrong- and let's face it, even for us beauty experts, it sometimes does- and an "emergency wash" needs to be performed! This weekend, we've got our sights set on runway-inspired waves. Here are our 4 favorites and how to get them...
Wet look waves
These wet look waves are the perfect choice for a night out. Start with dry hair that's already been styled into loose waves and distribute a few drops of gel along the front hairline. Use a comb to smooth it back, and keep going until you've reached the ends. The majority of the product will stay along the scalp, keeping your hair in place, but just enough will travel down further to give you softly defined waves. Pair them with an on-trend bodycon dress to really amp up your allure!
Want to look red carpet ready? Try these silky smooth Hollywood waves! Follow our tutorial to create vintage-inspired waves and then distribute a few drops of hair oil between your hands. Run your hands along the hair on your scalp and use a comb to create a side part. Smooth one side flat against your scalp and pin it at the back. Done!
One of Hollywood's most popular hairstyles of the moment, the wavy bob is a must-try. To get the look, massage volume mousse into your roots before spritzing wave spray throughout. Dry your hair with the diffuser attachment. Now just top off your new style with an autumnal hat and you're good to go!
Though they come slightly more effortlessly in summer, beach waves are a great hairstyle all year round. To get this look, simply spritz wave spray throughout wet hair and then allow it to air dry. Once it's dry, spritz matte texture spray throughout and use your hands to further scrunch up the ends. Gorgeous!
So, which one will you try?
