If you're a woman who wears makeup and participates in a morning/night beauty routine on the daily, you likely know that coconut oil is hailed as a miracle product. And it's true: it can be used for just about everything and anything, from your hair to a delicious addition to your coffee and toast in the morning.

It's combination of fatty acids and anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties means not only is it healthy, but it can help with the healing of minor cuts and infections. In terms of beauty, it's known to have transformative powers that give you beautiful, luscious locks, of course – but it also has many other uses that you may be surprised by! We've rounded up 8 ways you can use coconut oil for just about every beauty situation.

Coconut oil as a deep conditioning treatment is one of the most common and well-known ways of using the magical product. Simply apply a small amount of coconut oil to your finger tips, run your finger tips through your dead ends (and ends only!), leave for however long you'd like (overnight is best), and rinse! Pro tip: you only need a little bit, because this stuff is seriously difficult to remove!

Because coconut oil is well, an oil, it acts as though any oil based makeup remover would. Simply grab a small amount of coconut oil and rub it in your hands until it starts to melt, and then apply all over your face until your makeup comes off. Rinse your face and continue your cleansing routine as usual.

Coconut oil may have many health benefits, but it also smells great, meaning it can keep you feeling fresh all day. Just pat a dime-size of the product under your arm pits and you'll smell like summertime!

By now, we get it. Coconut oil is super moisturizing, so use it as a moisturizer before applying makeup in the morning, or as a night cream before you go to bed. This is a great way to make full use of the antioxidants in coconut oil and fight fine lines and wrinkles.

Again, coconut oil's hydrating properties make it perfect for dry lips come winter. But did you know that thanks to its antiviral properties, coconut oil also helps prevent cold sores while it hydrates your lips?

Coconut oil is a great remedy for dry, cracked and peeling cuticles. You can even apply it to a freshly dried manicure to make the colour last longer!

Believe it or not, coconut oil mixed with baking soda is a recipe for superstar white teeth. Just dab a small amount of the mixture on your tooth brush, brush away, and rinse!

Run out of body wash or shaving cream but remembered to pick up coconut oil at the grocery store? Coconut oil is a great alternative to shaving cream because it will help you get a closer shave and leave your legs soft and smooth due to its hydrating properties!
