If there's one thing we can learn about beauty products and application techniques, it's that good things can often come from unexpected places. Whether it's double duty makeup products or surprising household beauty hacks, there's always an innovative way to achieve your desired results.
One of the craziest beauty hacks we've seen so far? A classic bar of soap, used to fill in your brows. If you're skeptical, the technique was said to be a favourite of the Old Hollywood crowd – and we know they didn't mess around when it came to getting the results they wanted.
Read on to find out how the soap technique works, and how to achieve it with your very own bar!
BEAUTY TREND: SOAP BROWS
The idea behind soap brows is that the waxy texture of a transparent soap builds up and feathers the texture of the hair to give the illusion of fuller brows. If used with a brush, the soap will also smooth out your brows for the perfect shape.
To achieve this look, you simply wet a spoolie brush with warm water, brush it gently on top of the bar of soap until you have that right amount of slip, brush the hairs upward coating each and every strand, then use your colour-matched brow gel or pencil to finish off the look.
Unsurprisingly, the Internet has caught on to the trend, with beauty lovers posting to Instagram to share their successful results. Check them out for yourself:
