Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is officially underway in Berlin, giving us an opportunity to see what's hot (and what's not) in the fashion-forward German capital! Naturally, we've been paying particular attention to the stunning hair and makeup looks and this dramatic 60s-inspired one was an instant favorite.
Cat eye flicks and brightly colored eyeshadows are predicted to be huge trends for 2015, and this look is a perfect blend of vintage-modern. Even more, we think it'd work just as well with a high-volume beehive as with soft tousled waves.
So, want to try it for yourself? Follow our simple tutorial...
Start with a classic barely there beauty look by creating an even and smooth base with BB cream. Tap concealer over any blemishes or imperfections and then set your makeup with a translucent powder. Add warmth to your complexion with a wash of peachy blush on the cheekbones, moving up towards the temples, and finish with a slick of clear lip balm.
Now it's time to up the glamour! Priming the area with a special eyeshadow primer will ensure your makeup stays put all day or night. Next, use a shadow brush to apply colored eyeshadow (in this case, purple) and cover the eyelid up the creaseline. To perfect the shape, use the same brush and work the shadow into the creaseline and just above it, ending in a dramatic flick at the end.
Once you've got the right shape with the eyeshadow on both eyes, use a liquid liner to create a thick black cat eye flick. Finally, use kohl eyeliner to line the bottom lash lines, working the product into the inner and outer corners for a seamless rim around each eye.
There you have it: bombshell beauty, straight from the runway!
