BRITISH FASHION AWARDS: BEST BEAUTY LOOKS
Gigi Hadid stunned on the red carpet wearing a metallic ensemble that could be defined as the jumpsuit version of a Cinderella dress. She complemented her fairy tale look with a sleek bun and a metallic eye makeup look. She applied a light brown shadow on her outer corners and a metallic silver on the inner corners to open up and brighten the eyes. To get this look, simply apply a light brown shadow on the outer corners of your eyes. Apply a metallic shadow with a fluffy brush onto your inner corners and inwards to the middle of your lid. Repeat the pattern on your lower lash line then finish off with a touch of mascara on your upper and lower lashes!
While most of us think of the red carpet as a time to glam it up, some – like L'Oreal muse and supermodel Lara Stone – live by the phrase "less is more!" Lara stuck with a natural complexion, a touch of brown shadow to add depth to the eyes, highlighter on her inner corners to brighten them up, a clear gloss on her lips. We love that Lara uses makeup to enhance her natural features!
Bold lipstick is a classic way to glam up any look – which is why it's a celeb favourite on the red carpet. L'Oreal muse and supermodel Karlie Kloss contrasted her black dress with a vibrant red lip, and kept it simple on the eyes with a touch of mascara. Alexa Chung also rocked her signature red lip, pairing it with a bronzed complexion, bold brows and subtle brown shadow. Joan Smalls, on the other hand, opted for a festive burgundy lip that was contoured with a lighter shade of red placed in the middle of your mouth.
Socialite Olivia Palermo took a more daring approach to her makeup look, wearing a sparkly blue liner around her entire eye. She kept the rest of her makeup minimal, wearing an illuminating foundation and a subtle nude lip.
Supermodels Winnie Harlow and Lily Donaldson opted for a classic smoky eye and nude lip combination. While Winnie went with a sparkly grey, Lily took a warmer approach, wearing a brown smoky eye that matched her bronzed complexion.
