There were many pretty beauty looks at the recent Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Hollywood Costume Opening Party but our personal favorite was this bronze smoky eye, as seen on Zoe Saldana. We loved it so much that we decided to create an easy tutorial so that you, too, can get the look!
This is a great alternative to the classic smoky eye. Zoe teamed her shimmery eyes with a glowing complexion. The result? A super wearable look which will take you seamlessly from day to night. If you want it for yourself, then simply follow the easy tutorial below.
To get Zoe's luminous and glowing base, use a clean buffing brush to work in a BB cream. Then, dust a light amount of pressed powder over your T-zone.
Use your finger to apply a bronze cream eyeshadow to your eyelids. Then, use a clean blending brush to blend the color up towards your eyelids. Apply a light reflecting gold pigment to the center of your eyelid, working it towards the inner corner of your eye. Use a domed brush to run a darker gold or bronze shadow through your crease, and finish your eye makeup with a liberal application of mascara.
Use a large powder brush to sweep bronzer across your temples, cheek bones and jaw line.
Finish with a kiss of creamy nude lipstick. Remember, the perfect nude shade is somewhere between your complexion and natural lip color.
Top tip: To make sure your makeup steals the show, opt for a simple hairstyle like loose waves or a messy, braided updo.
