Caitlyn's color clash look
For the competition, Caitlyn chose to create a dramatic, seductive look using shades of mauve. The dark tones of the makeup created a gorgeous contrast when set against the light color of the model's eyes. Her lashes were plump, thanks to the famous Voluminous mascara, while her lips were perfectly accented by a deep berry shade from the Infallible range. All told, it's a bold look that would be just as welcome on the runways of Fashion Week as on the red carpet of the edgy MET Gala.
"She has a very good technique"
This is what L'Oreal Paris Canada makeup expert Eddie Malter had to say about Caitlyn's talent, which took place on March 27th at the Shangri-La Toronto! The five national finalists had to apply makeup according to the theme "Cannes Festival red carpet" with only 40 minutes and under total supervision of the jury!
Caitlyn won the competition with her glamorous beauty look, boasting a bright complexion, smoky eye, and a feminine pink lip. Melanie Frappa, editor in chief of Elle Québec and jury member, added that the makeup artist remained calm and concentrated throughout the creation of the look, despite being under serious pressure.
Finally, Danielle Graham, host of eTalk and third jury member, added that Caitlyn's bubbly personality will be helpful in putting the stars at ease, an important quality when tension is high just before a red carpet event.
