Cannes 2016: the L'Oreal muses attend amfAR Gala

During the Cannes Film Festival, many prestigious and glamorous events take place on the French Riviera after the stars make their eagerly awaited red carpet appearances. The most prestigious event of them all? the amfAR Gala. Hosting many of our favourite stars and L'Oreal muses, the amfAR gala is a charity event that helps to raise funds to advance AIDS research. A stylish night and for a good cause? What could be better?

Last night, fashion's best and brightest faces (including L'Oreal muses) – with a few actors and musicians sprinkled in for good measure – gathered at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cannes for amfAR's 23rd Cinema Against AIDS Gala. And with attendees like Karlie Kloss, Natasha Poly, Soo Joo Park, Barbara Palvin, Doutzen Kroes , and more first-name models, this is one seriously stunning red carpet.

If there's one thing that the L'Oreal muses agreed on for the amfAR Gala, its that black was the go-to colour of the evening. Despite almost all of the muses being dressed in black, they still managed to look as original as ever in their own individual, elegant black creations.

londe bombshell Karlie Kloss opted for an all black Marchesa gown that took on Hispanic influences with its off-the-shoulder ruffled neckline, body-con fit, and single slit that showed off her long legs. On the other hand, L'Oreal muse Doutzen Kroes took on more of a rocker-chic vibe, wearing a black Tom Ford mini dress that sparkled under the spotlight. The dress came equipped with a choker that completed her edgy look.

Meanwhile, Irina Shayk made a statement once again in a jewel-embroidered black spaghetti strap gown with a plunging neckline. Barbara Palvin took a break from her romantic appeal, and opted for a darker version of the fairy-tale look in a black Armani tutu-like gown that gave her the look of a dark ballerina. Fashion blogger Kristina Bazan took a break from her over-the-top gowns and traded them in for something a little subtler. The brunette wore a simple body-con black gown that featured a high mesh neckline.

Don't worry, the sea of black doesn't end there! Lara Stone and Natasha Poly also came armed in black transparent lace gowns that gave them a gothic-chic look. Last but certainly not least, Isabeli Fontana and Liya Kebede decided to take a different route, and stood out wearing dresses in white and blue.

Among the flawless young women were two handsome male muses: Lewis Hamilton and Lucky Blue Smith. While Lewis opted for a suit that immediately grabbed our attention with its colourful pattern, Lucky stuck with something a little more classic, wearing a simple black and white tux with a bow tie.
