Cannes Style: Julianne Moore's best red carpet looks

by Paige Exell -

With less than two weeks until the Cannes Film Festival, Get The Look is preparing for one of the most glamorous nights of the year. And unlike the Oscars or the Golden Globes, Cannes affords several fashion parades for style stars to elevate themselves to iconic stature on the red carpet. Among the events most enviable style stars is L'Oreal Paris muse and Oscar-winning actress, Julianne Moore . In honour of the 69th Cannes Film Festival, we look back on some of the actresses most dazzling red carpet looks.

Looking back on the actresses red carpet looks, we noticed that the L'Oreal Paris ambassador has a serious penchant for feathered dresses. Chic and feminine, feathered dresses have the power to transform a simple piece into a one-of-a-kind head turning ensemble. We love Julianne's champagne coloured dress embellished with feathers and rhinestones at the premiere of the film Maps to the Stars back in 2014.

The following year, the pattern continued when the actress appeared at the premiere of The High Head wearing a black dress adorned with feathers and jewel embellishments. Complimented by a sleek bun and smoky eyes, Julianne appeared to be the epitome of glamour.

Red, another one of Julianne Moore's favourites, has also made a few appearances on the Cannes red carpet in previous years. The perfect complimentary colour to her bright red hair, this bold hue adds a flawless touch to her pale complexion, and gives her an elegant femme fatale appeal. Our personal favourite? The suede burgundy dress that the actress wore to the premiere of Mad Max: Fury Road.

In 2014, the L'Oreal muse surprised us by posing on the red carpet at the premiere of Mr. Turner, wearing a satin scale-patterned skirt and oxblood coloured top characterized by a plunging, leather neckline. We love the bold gesture!

What kind of dress do you think Julianne Moore will wear for the 69th edition of the Cannes Film Festival?
