Chanel Iman: from red carpet to after-party with one stellar makeup look!

by Samantha Hunt -

Saturday evening (April 25) played host to the 101st Annual White House Correspondents' Association Dinner at the Washington Hilton. Whilst the red carpet shone with some of the world's brightest stars, we could not get enough of American model Chanel Iman's stellar beauty look!

The Victoria's Secret Angel began the night in a pale sky-blue silk gown with clusters of embellishment, showing off her incredible figure and flawless skintone with a plunging neckline and cinched waist. But just when we thought she'd struck gold, the angellic star then shed her floaty skirt for a metallic, shimmering cocktail dress for the Bloomberg & Vanity Fair cocktail reception, completely re-working her look for the evening!

Keeping her beauty look the same for the entire night, Chanel went from innocent angel to party glamour-girl in no time. If you are looking to do a bit of party-hopping yourself, here a few simple tips for recreating this versatile style.

The Hair

The high ponytail is the perfect no-fuss updo for any event, drawing the hair away from the face and accentuating Chanel's perfect cheekbones. A surefire sophisticated look, Chanel Iman has given her own relaxed and tousled twist to the trend by adding a spritz of texturing spray before pinning back, allowing her to easily switch to party mode when the time is right!

The Makeup

By keeping her beauty look muted but smoky, the 24-year-old model floated easily from pale blue to metallic grey flawlessly! Using a classic smokey eye with plum undertones, Chanel blended the color both up towards the outer corners and on the lower lid, placing the focus on her warm, dark eyes. She then finished the look with a pale nude lip for a subtle hint of glam-factor: the perfect anytime shade, day or night.
