It's no surprise that bright pink lipstick is one of spring-summer's most sought-after beauty trends. And after witnessing different variations of the trend on celebrities like Demi Lovato and Solange Knowles, British L'Oreal Paris muse Cheryl Cole adopted her own take on the trend for the 69th Cannes Film Festival.
The brunette bombshell added a dose of colour to the red carpet wearing a strapless body-con gown embroidered with colourful accents in pink, yellow, purple, and blue. She complimented the gown with a bright pink lip, sultry eye makeup, and a curled low-key ponytail for one eye-catching look.

GET THE LOOK: MAKEUP
To achieve this look, start by unifying your complexion with a cushioned foundation that will give you a luminous, even complexion. Press the pad into the formula, and gently rub it across all areas of your face for maximum coverage.
Next, use L'Oreal's Lumi Gold Illuminator palette to recreate Cheryl's bronzed goddess glow. Start by applying the darker shade onto your cheekbones with an angled brush. Then enhance the projected parts of your face like the bridge of your nose, temples, upper lip, centre of your chin, and forehead, with highlighter.
Recreate Cheryl's bronzed smoky eye with L'Oreal's nude Colour Riche palette. Start by using a fine shadow brush to coat your upper lids with a reddish-brown shade, and coat your lower lash line with the same shade to create a shadow effect. Then use a black pencil liner to coat your waterlines for added intensity.
Use L'Oreal's Voluminous Black Superstar mascara to create just that – superstar lashes. Coat multiple times for the ultimate drama.
For the best part, use L'Oreal's Infallible Matte Pro Lipgloss in bright pink to coat your lips for the finishing touch!
GET THE LOOK: HAIR
The ponytail has been seen on spring-summer 2016 catwalks at Balmain, Marni, and Balenciaga in many different forms – from twists to half ponies. This time, it's been spotted on Cheryl Cole at the premiere of Slack Bay (Ma Loute). The L'Oreal muse opted for a low-key ponytail with a slight wave that added the perfect amount of glamour to her loud look.
Want to get the look? Follow our simple steps!
Use a heat protective spray to coat and protect your locks from heat damage. Next, use a large barrel curling iron to curl the bottom portion of your hair, strand by strand.
Pull your hair back into a ponytail at the lower back of your head using a brush to ensure smoothness. Secure with an elastic. Gently brush through the curls of the ponytail for a silky, natural look.
Take a small section of hair from the back of your ponytail and wrap it around the base to create the illusion of an elastic made from hair. Secure with bobby pins.
Spray strong hold hairspray onto a fine tooth comb, and brush through the roots of your head, ensuring a smooth, perfect finish.
Congrats, you're red carpet-ready!
