The 57th Annual Grammy Awards took place this past Sunday, February 8th, in Los Angeles, California. While we saw plenty of glamorously off-beat and head-turning ensembles on the event's red carpet, it was Ciara who donned our favorite look of the evening. In a stunning black one-shouldered dress with tiered ruffles by Alexandre Vauthier, classic black pumps and gold accessories, the 29-year-old was a picture of elegance!
Red carpet magic
The R&B singer also hit all the right beauty notes (pun intended) with an on-trend wet look hairstyle and nude makeup that focused on flawless skin, sculpted cheekbones, and subtly defined eyes. Want to recreate Ciara's stunning red carpet makeup right at home? Here's how...
Start by creating a smooth, even complexion. Dot matte foundation on your cheekbones, nose, chin, and cheeks, then use a flat foundation brush to smooth it out. Dot and tap concealer over any areas where you need extra coverage.
Apply charcoal eyeshadow to your eyelids and along the bottom lash lines. Then, line the top and bottom lash lines with a kajal liner and blend out the lines with a clean brush. Apply a few coats of mascara to really maximize the length of your lashes.
Define your brows with a brow powder and a stiff angled brush. Use the brush to outline the desired shape before filling it in completely.
Finish your look with a slick of nude lipstick and you're all set!
