Get out your shades, this season's hottest trend is a bright one. Celebrities have been spotted in different shades of summer's favorite color: yellow! And before you take a fearful step back, keep reading, because there's more than just one way to wear it - yellow is actually a very versatile color...
Shailene Woodley and Chrissy Teigen have both been seen recently in bright banana-colored dresses. Shailene, whose movie The Fault in Our Stars was released on Friday, June 6th, was snapped in this chic strapless yellow gown with peplum skirt detail. Showing yellow's sexier side, Chrissy Teigen also wore a strapless yellow dress - but with a far shorter hemline and cut-out panels - to the Spike Tv's Guys' Choice Awards. The color really brought our her blonde highlights and natural tan.
Not a banana fan? How about another big trend this season: pastel! Felicity Jones wore this delicate pastel yellow dress with pretty beaded pockets, giving it a splash of energy with an orange lip. Poppy Delevingne chose the same shade of yellow last week, but kept the energy at her fingertips with a red manicure.
Warm sunshine yellow
Blake Lively warmed up the Chime for Change event last week with this borderline mustard-hued dress in a retro style. it was a similar shade to Jordan Dunn's striking buttercup yellow 'rope' dress that she wore last month. While both dresses were very different, the warm yellow shade added a fun and friendly element to the outfits.
Hot or cold
Yellow doesn't have to be sunny and warm. As you can see from Uma Thurman's outfit at Cannes 2014, it can also be fresh and sharp. The color's acid undertones are softened by the floaty fabric of Uma's dress. Alternatively, a near-orange shade of yellow like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's gown at the amfAR Gala 2014 will be sure to turn up the temperature!
Don't be afraid of yellow, it's summer's hottest color!
