If you love following the latest beauty trends, then you've probably already noticed that neutral eye makeup shades are being replaced by bold pop colors this season! Last month, Australian actress Courtney Eaton attended the premiere of her latest film, Gods of Egypt, in New York City, proving just how wearable this daring trend.
Get the Look
While these audacious colors can seem a little intimidating in the pan, Courtney proves there's a subtle way to wear them for a look that's offbeat but overall elegant. Ready to get the look? Here's how...
Unify your complexion with a matte liquid foundation, utilizing a foundation sponge to apply the product to clean, moisturized skin for the best results. Next, use a concealer to mask blemishes or dark eye circles, making sure to blend out the edges well. Apply a wash of blush to the apples of your cheeks for a natural flush.
Once you've applied an eyeshadow primer to the eye area, wet an angled eyeliner brush and use it to apply shimmery dark purple shadow along the top lash lines and outer 1/2 of the bottom lash lines, ending in a cat eye flick. Intensify the look by lining your top waterline with a charcoal kohl pencil. Next, brush gold shadow into the inner corners of the eyes and trace the color along the inner 1/2 of the lower lash lines. Finish with two coats of black mascara on your lashes.
As always, we suggest following the golden beauty rule of keeping your lip color neutral when wearing dramatic eye makeup! Complete your look with a slick of nude lip balm.
