We're glad that Dianna Agron spent most of the UNICEF Masquerade Ball with her mask in her hand because otherwise we'd never have seen her amazing eye makeup - a super sultry smoky eye! Not just perfect for a smoldering Halloween look, this makeup is the ideal choice if you're looking to steal the show like Dianna.
Want to get the look yourself? We've put together a short and sweet tutorial for this smokin' smoky eye.
Where there's smoke...
You'll need: black eyeshadow, iridescent cream/silver eyeshadow, a black kohl crayon, volumizing mascara.
Apply your kohl liner along the upper lash line, starting 1cm from the inner corner.
Take a dark shade of black (ideally with a few sparkles in it!) and use an angled brush to cover the eyelid, stopping at the crease. When it comes to the outer sides, use the brush to create an angular shape, then sweep the color halfway along the lower lashes.
Using a different brush, apply a shade of light, shimmery cream or silver to the inner corners of your eyes, and under the inner half of your lower lashes. Don't be afraid to smudge lightly.
Use your kohl liner on your waterline. To avoid discomfort, blunt the pencil slightly on the back of your hand before application.
Apply two coats of volumizing mascara on both the upper and lower lashes, focusing on the outer lashes.
Pair your striking smoky eye with a nude matte lip and a slight wash of color on your cheeks. Keep the eyebrows strong too, to balance the proportions.
... Now there's fire!
