September 28th marked one of the most anticipated events at Spring/Summer 2017 Paris Fashion Week: Rihanna's FENTY x PUMA runway show. The talented singer, designer and style icon presented a collection of sporty-chic looks that closely resemble her personal style. The spring/summer line was complete with everything from extra large pullover hoodies, to tear away pants and sneakers.
The front row of the FENTY x PUMA show proved to be equally as stylish as the runway itself, with celebs and it-girls like Doutzen Kroes in attendance. The supermodel and L'Oreal Paris muse wore one of the collections cropped sweaters and paired it with matching black and white tear away pants and sneakers for the ultimate sporty-chic look.
We love that designers, celebs and street style stars are finding a way to make comfortable look cool for the season! Inspired by Doutzen's cool-girl look? Get The Look is showing you how to pull off the sporty-chic look this season.
DOUTZEN KROES: HOW TO WEAR HER SPORTY-CHIC LOOK
ADD A CHIC TOUCH
If there's one thing you need to know about achieving a sporty-chic style, it's that you need to add a little touch of glamour to your sweats. So, how do you do this? Choose soft fabrics and colours like satin and pastel pinks, or black and white, and opt for sexy cuts like a cool crop top. Going for a completely monochrome look will also give you that relaxed, yet feminine and chic appeal. To complete your look, swap your gym bag with chic accessories and a leather handbag.
To match her casual look, Doutzen opted for equally casual makeup. After unifying her base with a dewy foundation, the L'Oreal muse enhanced her natural beauty with a touch of mascara, defined brows and a pink lip for a slight feminine touch. When adopting the sporty-chic look, be sure to play down the makeup and go as natural as possible. A liquid illuminator, BB cream, mascara and lipstick will do the job.
A CASUAL HAIRSTYLE
When it comes to your hair, match your sporty look with a style that you could wear to the gym or to a more upscale event: the ponytail. Gorgeous on the treadmill and the red carpet, the high ponytail keeps hair out of your way and looks super chic. Like Doutzen, pull your hair back into a high ponytail on top of your head, then add texture with a large barrel curling iron and a volumizing hairspray.
