We think we've already found our 2014 red carpet hairstyle queen. Congratulations, Katheryn Winnick (Vikings and The Art of the Steal)! You, in the space of two weeks, have given us four red carpet hairstyles that we absolutely love...
Front sections of hair drape delicately over Katheryn's face, and curl backwards into a gorgeous loose side chignon. Side-swept hairstyles are everywhere at the moment, and it's no wonder: they allow us to see Katheryn's long neck and pretty collarbones, without hiding her beautiful blonde hair completely.
Top Tip? Keep your eye makeup light and elegant to go with this romantic chignon.
Vanity Fair Oscar Party
If you want the definition of Hollywood siren, this is it! Katheryn has gone for 1930s finger waves, swept over one shoulder (yes, there's that side-swept hairstyle again) with a side part. See our tutorial for how to create finger waves.
Top Tip? For extra volume at the roots, use a volumizing mousse then tease at the roots before creating your finger waves.
D.J. Night with L'Oreal Paris
This braided updo is one of our favorites. Katheryn isn't the only Canadian celebrity to have chosen this style: see here for our tutorial on Cobie Smulders ' near-identical look. The only difference is how 'relaxed' you want the overall effect. The more flyaways, and the looser the braids, the more free-spirited you'll look.
Top Tip? Take advantage of an updo to show off your ears and/or neck by wearing some beautiful jewelry.
Vanity Fair Campaign Hollywood
A bouffant ponytail adds instant glamour to any red carpet look. It involves a lot of hairspray and some back-combing, but it isn't tricky to create. It's up to you how big you want your bouffant to be!
Top Tip? A dark smoky eye looks great with a bouffant, or a retro cat eye with a long flick. Just keep the lip natural.
Good work Katheryn, keep up the great hairstyling!
