Our favorite things about Emmanuelle Chriqui? Well, apart from the fact that she is a gorgeous Canadian actress and star of the hit show Entourage, we have to say that Emmanuelle's stunning hairstyles always come out on top!
With the Anil Arjandas Jewels Flagship Boutique Opening last night (July 1), the 37-year-old stepped out in a pale pink cocktail dress, teamed with matching black clutch and heels and letting her hair down in gorgeously voluminous gentle waves. This blow out is the perfect way of giving the illusion of thickness to even the thinnest or straightest of hair, and can be easily reproduced in the comfort of your own home! Here's how...
Before you start
To give your hair all the help it can get, use a product range that has been designed to add thickness and volume whilst washing. The L'Oréal Paris Fibralogy range works to expand the diameter of your strands in just five applications, whilst nourishing for soft, luxurious locks.
Begin the blow out
Blot dry your hair with a towel without rubbing it to prevent any frizz or unnecessary damage to your tips.
Massage volumizing mousse into the roots of your hair and spritz throughout with a heat protection spray.
Blow dry your hair without worrying about brushing or styling it: in this step, you are looking to get your hair to about 80% dryness. Put your head upside-down during this step to lock more volume into the roots of your hair. Once your hair is mostly dry, apply a conditioning spray like the Evercrème nourishing leave-in formula.
Separate your hair into sections, leaving one section loose and secure the rest out of the way with bobby pins. Use a round-headed brush with natural bristles to pull out and create tension in the strand, following the brush with the nozzle of the hair dryer and continue this slow brushing motion until the strand is completely dry.
Repeat step 4 above with each section of hair and fix in place with a spritz of hairspray.
