There are a lot of great things about this look but is it better than a French manicure?
Well, quite possibly...
For starters, the only colour required to create this style is a jet black polish, saving a lot of time that would otherwise be spent applying two coats of nude polish and then waiting for them to dry. However, if you prefer to use a flawless nude base instead of your natural nail colour, that's fine too because it doesn't drastically alter the look of the manicure.
Not only that, this manicure is just a little edgier than more conventional nail art styles, creating a look that is fresh and unique without being too radical to wear in a formal setting.
Basically, it's just plain cool.
On the other hand, the French manicure is a timeless beauty staple and is not to be sniffed at, let alone replaced. The neutral tones make it one of the most versatile, elegant manicures out there and it remains one of the most popular.
