Felicity Jones at London Fashion Week

Felicity Jones' tousled mid-length waves and bangs

It seems like some of our favorite celebrities have decided to chop off their long locks and go for a bob hairstyle! Long, tousled voluminous waves are losing their spot in the A-list top hairstyle rankings, and the bob is gaining momentum. Why do we think it's suddenly become so popular?

Well, maybe it's because cutting your hair is a great way to dramatically change your entire look - and celebrities are always looking to be the talk of the town. Secondly, if you've spent ten years curling, straightening and generally mistreating your hair, sometimes the best option is to cut off all those damaged ends. Just like a plant, hair needs to be cut back in order to grow healthier and happier.

Felicity Jones was one of the several celebrities who, towards the end of last year, went for the chop. And we've been loving the different ways she's been styling her hair - proving the versatility behind the haircut. Her appearance on the front row of London's Fashion Week was no exception.

Give your Bob some Bang

Many people would say to stay away from wearing thick bangs with their bob, especially if you're going for a voluminous style, because it can be overwhelming, notably with delicate facial features. But Felicity proves that this is not always the case.

Drying your hair upside-down will give you a good base volume before you use the curling iron to get those beachy waves. A salt spray, scrunched in your palms, will help to get that tousled (I'm flyaway but perfectly controlled) look. Don't use the iron on your bangs, it'll make the hair go flat. Instead, create the curl and direction with a barrel brush, and secure with hairspray.

Boom, bob, BANG, and you've nailed the look!
