Every year, the Glamour Women of the Year Awards honors inspirational women from a variety of fields, including entertainment, sport, politics and music. It's well-attended by celebrities, and a great event for red carpet watching!
We decided that we'd give out our own Get the Look awards to our favorite celebrity looks, and here are our winners:
Overall Style Award
What we love: 1) Her dress that makes us think of fish scales in a shimmery iridescent metal shade 2) the fact that she went for gold accessories, not silver 3) her loose, wavy ombre hair 4) fabulous eye makeup that makes her eyes look even bigger than they already are, and 5) you can't go wrong with a nude lip and bold brows.
Fashion Forward Award
We're thinking this dress shape, with its square front panel, might be something of a trend in the making, after having spotted a similar version on Blake Lively during the Cannes Film Festival. The sheer lace panel is more than a little risqué, but the demure length of the a-line skirt keeps the overall look chic.
It's not always easy to find different ways to style mid-length hair, but Sarah's given us a lovely example with these sideswept retro curls. A barrel brush is all you need to get this look: just dry your hair and use the brush to create cute curls at the ends. If your hair doesn't curl easily, use a curling iron - but always apply heat protectant before.
Best Lip Color
This bright pink matte lipstick matches perfectly with Emily's graphic floral print dress, and keeps her overall look youthful. It also brings out the glow of her cheeks, and makes her chocolate brown eyes look even more striking.
