Sunday, February 8, held the 57th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, California, drawing out music's biggest stars en masse. While many chose to walk the red carpet in classic neutral shades and glittering metallics, pop sensation Taylor Swift brought a burst of color to the ceremony in an opulent turquoise Elie Saab gown.
The "Blank Space" singer pulled her ensemble together with a simple but elegant beauty look: flawless skin, a navy blue smoky eye, and an on-trend nude lip. We haven't been invited to any red carpet events recently, but this is one makeup look we'll definitely be copying! You, too? Well then you'll need to know how...
Get the Look
Start by unifying your complexion with a matte foundation. Dot the product along the center of your face and then use a flat foundation brush to smooth it out for full coverage.
Next, dust powder beneath your eyes, on the sides of your nose, and on the T-zone to set your base.
Use a brush to apply white shimmery eyeshadow to the inner corners of your eyes, as well as all over each lid. Next, use a small concentrated brush to apply navy blue shadow along the lower lash lines, working from the inner corners out. Once you reach the outer corner, finish the line in an upward stroke, and then apply the navy shadow to the outer 1/3 of your eyelids. Use a clean brush to blend everything out well.
Tightline your top lash lines with a black liquid liner to offer extra definition and make your lashes appear thicker. Then apply several coats of black mascara.
Finish your look with a slick of nude lipstick and you're all set! Now that's an award-winning look!
