Graphic monochrome nail art from NYFW

If we had to name some of our favorite trends of the moment, "monochrome" and "graphic prints" would surely come to mind. It's no surprise then, that we instantly fell for this ultra-cool and modern manicure from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2015!

If you're a nail art fan, this is one manicure that's sure to tick all the boxes! Black, white and nude hues keep things approachable and sophisticated, contrasting glossy and matte top coats play off of one another and add texture, while a modern graphic design on each finger keeps things fun and fresh. So, want to get the look?

You'll need...

- Black, white, and nude nail polish

- A glossy top coat

- A matte topcoat

- Manicure tape

Get the Look

Step one: Start by painting your left thumb with white polish and your right thumb with black polish. Paint the rest of your nails with nude polish as a base color, applying as many coats as needed to get an opaque finish.

Step two: Once the polish is dry, apply nail art tape in various graphic shapes to the rest of your nails. Triangles, chevrons and squares are all great options. Once you've chosen a design for each finger and the tape is in place, paint over each nail with either black or white nail polish. Again, apply as many coats as needed for an opaque finish, and then let the polish completely dry.

Step three: Carefully remove your nail art tape. Paint 2-3 fingers on each hand with a shine-enhancing and protective top coat, and on the remaining fingers use a matte top coat.

That's all! Enjoy!
