We love bangs for their ability to create an instant style without actually having to do a thing to your hair! But if you've ever had them, then you know that when it comes time to grow your bangs back out, they can be a serious pain! Inevitably, they reach that awkward phase when they're too long to be styled as usual, and too short to be tucked behind the ears. Well, the good news is we have a solution: this gorgeous braided look from the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival!
This simple but pretty look is perfect for concealing your bangs while they grow (oh so very slowly). And if you don't have bangs? Rejoice! This hairstyle will work for you as well, creating a frame to the face and adding texture without too much work. So, want to get the look?
Get the Look
Step one: Starting with towel-dried hair, spritz it throughout with heat protection. Blowdry your hair with a round brush, creating soft loose waves.
Step two: Once your hair is dry, distribute a small amount of hair oil between your palms and then run your hands through the mid-lengths and ends to nourish the hair and add shine.
Step three: Use a tail comb to create a deep side part. Then, grab a small section of hair along the hair line and begin French braiding toward the side opposite the part. Continue the French braid until you reach the end of the other side, then braid normally until you reach the end of the hair. Secure with a hair tie.
All set! Now that's what we call simply stunning!
