Actress Amanda Seyfried has been making the rounds to promote her latest film, A Million Ways to Die in the West, and the former Mean Girl has looked fantastic every step of the way. We especially loved her look at the film's premiere on May 15: the actress walked the red carpet in a Little Black Dress with on-trend sheer panels, jewel embellishments and applique work on the neckline. Her signature flawless complexion, bold red lips, and a pretty twisted ponytail completed the look.
We've seen quite a few exciting new alternatives to the classic ponytail lately, including the tousled braids that ruled the red carpet of the Grace of Monaco premiere during the 67th Cannes Film Festival. Amanda's is yet another stunning addition to the mix, and the best part? It's super easy to recreate at home! With a the right products and tools, this look can be yours in a matter of minutes.
Get the look
Step one: Starting with wet hair, apply a heat protectant throughout. Use a paddle brush and your blow dryer (with concentrator attachment) to get the smoothest locks possible.
Step two: Once your hair is dry, apply a small amount of smoothing serum, concentrating mainly on the top of the head. Use a comb to smooth the hair back into a ponytail.
Step three: Using your hands, separate the ponytail into two sections. Then, begin to twist the sections around eachother. Once you've reached the end secure the hair with another hair tie.
Step four: Spray the hairstyle all over with strong-hold hairspray to keep the style in place. Yep, it's that easy!
