Jessica Alba has been making the rounds lately to promote her latest film Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and, no big surprise, the stylish actress has been pulling out all the stops!
On August 12 Jessica appeared on Good Morning America looking gorgeous in a bright pink retro-inspired dress with a high ponytail, and on August 13 she visited the 106 & Park studios wearing a sophisticated ensemble with casual tousled curls. In other words, another look we can't wait to copy! You, too? Mimic Jessica's tousled tresses by following our simple step-by-step tutorial below!
Get the look
Step one: Wash and condition your hair as usual, then allow it to air dry 50% of the way. Then, spray the hair liberally with a wave-creating heat protectant before combing the hair to distribute the product and remove any tangles.
Step two: Rough dry your hair with a blow dryer until it's completely dry.
Step three: Divide and clip your hair into 3 sections- top, middle, and bottom. Beginning with the bottom, use a curling iron to curl 2-3 inch sections of hair. When you remove the curl from the iron, gently pull it downward to loosen it up a bit. Work your way upward until all of the hair is curled.
Step four: When all of the curls are cooled, spray your hair with a fine mist of hairspray before using your fingers to comb through the curls and loosen them up. Do this until you've achieved a naturally piecy look.
Step five: Spray your hair with a mist of sea salt spray and then attach the diffuser to end of your hairdryer. Gently blow dry your hair with the diffuser to achieve a perfectly tousled look. All done!
