It's official: the faux undercut hairstyle is still going strong. We're pretty thrilled to hear the news, but no one is happier than Kristen Stewart. The actress was seen sporting the style in Park City, Utah this week, while attending the Sundance Film Festival in support of her latest effort, Camp X-Ray.
This isn't the first time the 23-year old has been spotted sporting the faux undercut. She's worn it on the red carpet a few times before as a dressed up alternative to her usual deep side-part with tousled waves. Wondering how to get the look?
The low down
Step one: Towel dry your hair and then spritz it all over with heat protection spray.
Step two: Blow dry your hair, scrunching it up with your fingers are you dry. Hold your head upside down to create extra volume at the root.
Step three: Once your hair is 90% dry, spray sea salt spray throughout and use your hands again to scrunch the hair up. You can also twist various sections to get a different texture.
Step four: Next, use a tail comb to separate a 2" wide section of hair on the side of your head, following the natural hairline. Use clips to secure the rest of the hair out of the way while you work on the section you just created.
Step five: Create a French braid with the separated hair and once you've reached the curve of the head, stop French braiding and create a regulr braid. Secure it when you've reached the end.
Step six: Separate another 2" section of hair above the braid you just created and follow Steps four and five again. Let the rest of the hair loose and use your hands to "shake" the hair and create a natural, disheveled look.
Pair this look with a dramatic smoky eye and you're ready to roll!
