Subtle waves for a gorgeous "unstyle"

Hairstyle tutorial: loose, barely-there waves

We at Get the Look love wavy hair. Natural and effortless, it's the perfect "unstyle" for everyday (right up there with the tousled look) and a great way to show off shiny locks or a great dye-job. Plus, there are many different kinds of waves to suit your mood- from beachy waves, which are a favorite of the stars, to these gorgeous barely-there waves, which are as relaxed and easy-going as they come!

Perfect for anyone who likes a minimalist look, this hairstyle has a touch of texture, a super sleek finish, and would look great with basically anything, anywhere. Sold? We are... here's how to get the look!

What you need:

Smoothing serum

Round brush

Curling iron

Step one: Starting with damp, towel-dried hair, apply smoothing serum evenly from roots to ends and blow-dry with a round brush.

Step two: Once the hair is totally dry, use a large curling iron to curl the hair in sections, starting from ear-level or lower (the longer your hair, the lower down you can start curling), working down toward the ends.

Step three: Gently brush through the curl to unify them into a sleek cascade then run your fingers through your hair to make it look a little more natural.

Step four: Mist all of your hair with hairspray for long-lasting hold and you're good to go!

If you prefer to minimize the amount of heat styling you subject your hair to, loosely braid the lengths after applying your smoothing serum and let it air dry. That way, you can skip the blow-dryer and the curling iron.

Happy styling!
