Yesterday evening (July 15) saw the ESPY Awards hit Los Angeles, bringing some of the best sporting talents - and some of the hottest celebrities - out for an evening of sporting acheivement. Effortlessly commanding the red carpet was none other than Sports Illustrated model Hannah Davis, who stepped out in a long-sleeved mini-dress of sequins and silver embellishment, which she then complemented with a sleek high ponytail and a gorgeous bronze and silver shimmering makeup look.
Why we love it
Ok, so it helps that this 25-year-old is drop dead gorgeous and has recently been named as the cover model for the 2015 issue of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue! But we equally love Hannah Davis's makeup look because she knows exactly how to complement her best assets, by using a bright silver eyeshadow to make her green irises dazzle, whilst drawing her hair away from her face and using bronzer to accentuate her bone structure.
If you love this look as much as we do, read on to find out how it's done...
Get the look
Start by applying a base of illuminating primer after moisturizing your skin. Then dust a light bronzer - 1 to 2 shades darker than your skintone - into the hollows of your cheeks, along the jaw and hair line and around the temples of your forehead. Next, blend your complexion together with a fresh brush and a natural matte face powder.
Now for the eyes: for high drama eye makeup like Hannah's, try smoothing an eye primer on and around the eye. This evens the skintone and also helps give your eyeshadow a richer and more dazzling color for longer!
Use the tightlining effect to smooth black pencil eyeliner inside the lid line then switch to a silver metallic eyeliner to apply under the lower lashes, beginning at the tearduct.
Next, you will need a metallic eyeshadow duo. Dust the darker shade with a soft makeup brush along the lid and out into a 45° angle pointing out towards the hair line. Then apply the light silver shade with a clean application brush across the lid to blend gently with the darker shade, focusing the shimmer around the tearduct and just under the eye.
Finish with 2 coats of thickening mascara and a nude pink lipstick with a glossy sheen and you are all set!
