RACHEL MCADAMS: TOP 10 RED CARPET LOOKS
GOTHIC AND SHEER
Last month, Rachel McAdams celebrated the release of Doctor Strange in London, England alongside Tilda Swinton, among others. For the occasion, she wore a sheer one-shoulder blue, grey and black gown adorned with bird embellishments and a velvet belt. Her hair was pulled back off her face, which allowed her gorgeous gown to take over the spotlight. And while Rachel is known for her simple, yet classic looks, this isn't this first time she donned a daring sheer gown.
At the Screen Actors Guild Awards, she wore a sheer black embellished t-shirt gown that gave her both sophistication and sex appeal. She kept her makeup neutral and enhance her eyes with a touch of black liner and mascara to complement her gown.
CLASSIC AND FEMININE
Rachel is known for her classic and feminine looks. Whether it's a soft pink lip, golden shadow, sleek up-do or a soft coloured gown, she knows the formula for achieving that classic appeal. At the Oscars Vanity Fair after party, Rachel stunned in a soft pink sparkly gown with a deep V neckline and a sultry slit that showed off her legs. She kept her makeup neutral and played up her lips with a gloss.
On a more recent occasion, Rachel reminded us of her classic, feminine style when she wore a grey and purple slit dress with satin accents to an event for the release of Doctor Strange.
SHINY AND GLAM
When she wants to step out of her comfort zone, Rachel will often opt for a shimmery gown made up of sequins or metallic. At the most recent Manus x Machina themed Met Gala, she wore a gold long-sleeved gown with sheer accents and sequin embellishments and paired it with a deep plum lip for added drama. We love the way her gold shadow complements her honey blonde locks, while the plum lipstick contrasts against her pale complexion!
BRIGHT AND PLAYFUL
Rachel has also been known to wear a bold colour or pattern from time to time. At the Oscars, she wore an emerald green slit dress that was simple, yet completely gorgeous with her pale complexion and light eyes.
