Waiting for nail polish to dry can often seem like an unnecessarily long, drawn out process which sees you shave what feels like years off your life. But, that's all about to change because we have a couple of useful tricks to help you cheat your way to dry nails in a flash.
Trick n°1: Dip your nails in cold water
To speed up the drying process, dip your nails into cold water - ideally ice water - as cool temperatures automatically harden nail polish. Keep your nails in the water for about 2 mins 30 seconds and then allow them to dry off naturally.
This technique won't solidify the polish completely so don't dry your hands with a towel immediately.
Trick n°2: Blow-dry
Blasting your nails with a hair-dryer can help to dry polish a lot faster than sitting still for half an hour at room temperature.
Just make sure you use the coolest setting to help dry out the polish rather than keeping it warm and preventing it from drying.
Trick n°3: Add a fast drying top coat
Once your base color is about 85% dry, it's usually safe to apply a top coat. A lot of top coats dry fast - such as Color Riche top coats by L'Oréal Paris - and create a protective shield while the rest of your manicure takes it's sweet time to dry. They also help add in a little extra detail with minimal effort so it's a win-win situation.
After all that, just imagine what you'll be able to do with all the time you no longer have to spend sitting around all day blowing on your nail polish...
