Earlier this week, L'Oreal Paris spokesmodel Karlie Kloss lent her face over to Vietnamese-Canadian makeup artist, Hung Vanngo, who prepped her for a cover shoot with the perfect summer look. Hung created a sensual tanned glow that was accompanied by a luminous complexion, full, structured brows, and a golden smoky eye – a sophisticated, yet sexy summer beauty look that we can't wait to try!
Meanwhile, her honey blonde hair was transformed into ultra-glamorous beach waves that perfectly complimented her sultry, California-girl glow. Dying to try this look for a hot, summer night? Get The Look is breaking it down, step by step!
The key to achieving the perfect summer look? A glowing, dewy complexion. Karlie Kloss showed off a look that highlighted her most prominent features, giving off the appearance of skin that has been naturally lit up by the sun. To achieve this look, start by moisturizing your skin to give it a shiny, hydrated appearance to start with. Next, use a lightweight BB or CC cream, and rub it into your skin with a beauty blender to achieve full coverage.
For an added glow, swipe a hint of highlighter across the high points of your cheekbones, middle of your chin, forehead, and bridge of nose.
One of our favourite things about Karlie's look? How perfectly her full, structured brows allow her eyes to stand out. To add structure and balance to your face, use a brow pencil or gel to brush your brows in an upward and out direction, then fill them in with the formula for a full appearance. For perfect application, draw the outline of your brow, then colour them in for eyes that will pop!
For the most important step, start off with a dark brown shadow, and apply it directly onto your eyelids, making sure not to extend the colour past the sockets. Next, use a medium brown shade of eyeshadow, and colour in the area directly above the darker shade of brown, towards your brow bone. Lastly, use the same shade to colour in the area directly below your lower lash line, extending downward to create a sultry shadow. Extend the colour slightly out towards your temples for a subtle cat eye.
Last, but certainly not least, colour in your lips with a clear shade of gloss that will match your shiny complexion!
