L'Oréal Paris ambassadors Jane Fonda andJennifer Lopez have been chosen to grace the cover of Variety's 2014 Power of Women issue. The stars will join Reese Witherspoon, Donna Langley and Viola Davis for the special annual edition which will honor five high profile women who are using their influence to highlight and help worthy causes.
Jennifer Lopez has long been passionate about her philanthropy work, but it wasn't until 2008 when her daughter had a health scare that she founded the Lopez Family Foundation along with her sister Lynda. The siblings' foundation aims to improve health care for children and women. Since being launched, it has helped people in LA, Panama and Puerto Rico. Sponsorship from big brands such as Samsung and Best Buy has helped them to expand their work and earlier this year they opened the Center for a Healthy Childhood at the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York.
Jane Fonda is also working hard to make a difference, and has been celebrated in the magazine for her work to empower teens. The Hollywood star set up the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power and Potential (GCAPP) in 1994 after moving to the area, which had the highest rate of adolescent pregnancy.
GCAPP has expanded over the years and now helps teens to gain education, job skills and nurture their ambitions. Jane recently established the Grady Teen Clinic to help young people learn how to buy healthy food on a budget and learn more about fitness. Needless to say, the actions of these stars is truly commendable.
Both of these beauties are working dramatic cover girl looks. J-Lo rocks a swept back hairstyle for her appearance. It is complemented with intense eyeliner, bold eyebrows, and soft pink lipstick.
These are both powerful women with a beauty that goes beyond good looks. Both have stood the test of time and both are glowing examples of what you can achieve for yourself and others with determination and kindness. They represent L'Oréal Paris but are also ambassadors for women everywhere. We can't wait to read all about it!
