So, the top 13 finalists have been picked for American Idol! From country rockers to gospel singers, there's a wide variety of talent this year. And, talking of talent, we were pretty impressed by judge Jennifer Lopez' makeup skills (well, her stylist's anyway) at the Finalists Party!
If you woud like to copy her golden, glittery look, here's how:
To get that perfected base and bronzed glow, start with a primer before applying your foundation. Use a mattifying foundation to avoid shine and, once dry, use a large powder brush to lightly dust bronzer across your forehead, down the bridge of your nose and along your cheekbones. Finish with a pink blush with golden undertones, swept from the apple of your cheek towards your temples.
J-Lo's pink-gold eye makeup is gorgeous! Start with a warm pink eyeshadow as a base, gradually blended outwards and upwards until just under the brow bone. Then, take a light gold powder and, starting at the inner corners of the eye, apply to the eyelid until you reach halfway across. Lightly dust some of the gold powder under the lower lashes too. False lashes will give you that wide-eyed feathery look like J-Lo, but alternatively you could use a few coats of lash-defining mascara.
The icing on the cake:
Finish the look with a pretty, glittery pout and gold accessories to complement your makeup. Keeping your hair simple will direct the attention to your face.
