Just when we thought that life couldn't get any better for L'Oréal Paris spokesperson Julianne Moore, the talented actress proved us wrong. Just days after receiving the Best Actress award at the Critics' Choice Awards, New York's prestigious Museum of the Moving Image organized a gala in her honor on January 20, 2015.
It was Julianne's night to shine and that she did, with a little help from her gorgeous metallic dress, complete with stunning jeweled collar detail. To match her standout outfit, the star pulled her trademark red locks into a classic and chic high topknot. We loved it so much that we just had to create a tutorial for it!

This simple yet stunning high bun was the perfect look for the night, as it didn't take too much focus away from her dazzling dress.
This style works best with a sleek and silky finish, so use a hydrating and smoothing shampoo and conditioner.
If you have the time, let your hair dry naturally. If not, be sure to use a heat protect spray to minimize heat damage and avoid a frazzled finish.
Once your hair is dry, brush it back, away from your face and into a high ponytail, and fix it in place with a hair elastic.
Work a smoothing serum through the lengths of your ponytail, then twist them around the hair elastic to form a topknot and use bobby pins to pin it in place.
Mist some hairspray over your hair to bring long-lasting shine to your look. All set!
