American actress Kate Bosworth was the very picture of elegance attending the premiere of her new TV drama The Art of More last week, October 29. The 32-year-old blonde beauty wore a cute and colorful cocktail dress with bands of different contrasting fabrics, which she then teamed with simple black heeled pumps and a matching clutch.
Against her brightly patterned ensemble, the star then kept her makeup look simple and natural (and absolutely flawless!) with a hint of pink matte lipstick and a touch of rosy blush on her cheeks, which she then teamed with a side-swept twisted chignon.

We obviously had to stop for a moment to take a closer look at this interesting and intricate updo, and who could blame us?! Kate looks stunning in this relaxed yet elegant hairstyle, and we want to make sure that you do too, which is why we created this simple tutorial below! Here we go...
Start by massaging a volumizing mousse into the roots of your damp locks and give your lengths a generous spritz of heat protection spray.
Use a round-headed bristle brush to blow dry your tresses straight. Then switch to a comb to create your deep side part, sweeping the majority of your hair over to one side in a thick curtain.
Draw the thinner side of your hair back with the comb and use bobby pins to secure this side at the back of your head.
Switch to the thick sweep of hair and twist it at ear level to create a soft voluminous loop, twisting and pinning your hair loosely around to the back of your head to join the other section.
Use further bobby pins to twist and secure your loose strands into a relaxed chignon and finish your updo with a mist of fixitive hairspray.
