Aside from being known as Prince William's lady love and George's mom, Kate Middleton is also famous for her hair! We love to keep an eye on the Duchess' looks for inspiration, and on her recent visit to Christchurch, New Zealand, she was rocking a soft and pretty half-up style we loved. Yep, so much so that we had to create this hair tutorial!
Let's take a look...
Twists and turns
At a glance it looked as if Kate was wearing her hair in her trademark loose, wavy style, but upon closer inspection, we realized that her hairstyle featured a pretty, twisted detail at the back. This is a great way to add some interest to a normal half-up 'do. Half-up hair is right on-trend and it's a great way to keep your hair off your face while still keeping your hair down.

Getting Kate's pretty half-up twist is actually easier than you might think- just follow the easy step-by-step guide below.
Step one: After washing your hair, dispense some volume creating mousse evenly throughout your locks.
Step two: Blow dry section by section, using a barrel brush to loosely curl the ends of the hair.
Step three: Once the hair is dry, section off the front of your hair and split it into two parts. Twist each section and then bring them together at the back of your head. Twist one section under the other and then back over again. Pin in place with bobby pins.
Top tip: You don't have to follow Kate's twists to the letter, why not adapt it to create your very own rosette?
Step four: Mist some hairspray over your new style and you're good to go.
