Just four days in and the Toronto International Film Festival has already brought a whole lot of star power to the red carpet! From Naomi Watts to Julianne Moore and now, another of our favorite leading ladies: Kristen Stewart! The Twilight actress took to the red carpet yesterday evening, September 13, to present her latest film, Equals, directed by Drake Doremus and co-starring Nicholas Hoult.
Equals is a science-fiction romance that tells the story of two young people living in a futuristic society where humans live peacefully, but no longer have emotions. Things change, however, when they both realize they've been infected by a new disease that not only allows them to feel, but to fall in love.
Talking with E! about the role, Kristen stated, "It's first love. It's such a grand look at awakening. You take every first you ever had and you bottle it up in a moment and the devastating effect is something like anything who has fallen in love at a young age has felt."
Personally, we have feelings for Kristen's Equals premiere hairstyle! Meaning: we love it! You, too? Then keep reading to get the look!
Get the Look
Start by using haircare products from a smoothing haircare range to wash and condition your hair. Once out of the shower, towel dry your locks to remove as much moisture as possible.
Smooth a straightening balm through your hair, running a comb through to ensure even distribution from roots to ends! Then, use a paddle brush to dry your hair as smooth as possible.
If your hair still isn't as sleek as you'd like it to be, mist with heat protection spray and then go over it with a flat iron. Next, use a tail comb to create two deep parts on each side and then twist that center section up to rest on top of your head, secured by a clip.
Smooth back your hair on one side and tuck it behind your ear before applying a small amount of gel over the hair along the scalp and combing through to keep it neat. Then, insert a bobby pin just behind your ear to discretely secure the hair. Repeat on the otherside.
Undo the top section and then separate a 1" section along your hairline. Push this forward to cover your face. Next, gently tease the remaining hair along the roots to provide extra volume at the top. Smooth that 1" section from over your face toward the back and generously mist it with hairspray. Comb through to smooth the top as the hairspray dries and you're all set!
