It's hard to believe that fashion and beauty blogger Kristina Bazan is a Cannes Film Festival newcomer when she walks the red carpet like an old pro. After causing a stir on La Croisette with her edgy-glam look at the film premiere of Money Monsters on May 12, the L'Oreal muse took inspiration from the past for her latest appearance on the red carpet. Wearing a romantic Alberta Ferretti two-piece creation, the beautiful brunette attended the premiere of Slack Bay (Ma Loute) looking like she stepped straight out of old Hollywood.
With retro waves in her freshly dyed hair, red on her lips, and wearing a voluminous maroon coloured skirt and matching crop top, the L'Oreal ambassador was the epitome of femme fatale in the days of old Hollywood glamour. And since we can't get enough of this vintage style, we're taking a closer look...
THE RED MAKEUP
A true red carpet classic, red lipstick is a timeless, sensual, and glamorous staple that makes a bold statement when paired with an equally glamorous gown. For her second Cannes red carpet debut, the L'Oreal muse adopted this old Hollywood classic, and enhanced the look with golden brown eye shadow and sensual cat eyes that showed off her long lashes. With perfectly defined brows and meticulous lipstick application, Kristina achieved the ultimate structured look.
Don't have a red lipstick of your own? Kristina's Cannes Day 3 look should be enough motivation to make you go out and get your Colour Riche without thinking twice!
To accompany a vintage look and assume your status as goddess from another time period, opt for silky, retro waves like Kristina Bazan at the premiere of Slack Bay (Ma Loute).
Start by spraying your hair with L'Oreal's Nutri-Gloss Luminizer Mist. Next, part your hair further on one side, and spray it with heat protective spray. Piece by piece, wrap your hair around a large barrel curling iron from your ears, down. Once your hair is completely curled, spray a brush with a generous amount of satin finish hairspray, and gently brush through your hair. The result will be a satin, glossy finish like Kristina's.
A NEW BRUNETTE
Attention brunettes! Kristina Bazan has just recently joined the dark side, and she seems to be loving it more than ever. According to the L'Oreal muse, she admits that dark hair makes her feel edgier, more mysterious, and gives her that dangerous femme fatale look.
