Last night, celebrities, models and L'Oreal Paris muses took a break from sitting – and walking – front row at Paris Fashion Week's Spring 2017 runways to attend the L'Oreal Paris Gold Obsession Party. The event was filled with little black dresses, regal gold accents and some seriously chic beauty looks that took the 'gold' theme to a whole new level.
Unsurprisingly, top tier celebrities and supermodels like Hailey Baldwin, Elsa Hosk and Naomi Campbell were in attendance, but it was the L'Oreal Paris muses that took over the spotlight. While brand's ambassadors including Irina Shayk , Soo Joo Park , Cheryl Cole , Xiao Wen, Barbara Palvin , Karlie Kloss and Lara Stone showed off their love for gold with the help of black dresses and gold accents, accessories and embellishments, muses Kristina Bazan, Natasha Poly , Bianca Balti, Liya Kebede and Doutzen Kroes weren't afraid to go all out with head-to-toe gold looks.
The one thing every muse had in common? Golden makeup that had us swooning in awe. Whether it was a concentrated dose of shimmer, a sporadic twinkle or an over-the-top Gatsby-esque look, check out some the shimmery makeup looks seen on L'Oreal muses at last night's Gold Obsession party.
LOOKS FROM THE L'OREAL PARIS GOLD OBSESSION PARTY
Sparkly gold eye shadow proved to be the real shining star of the night, with celebs like Bianca Balti , Soo Joo Park, Barbara Palvin, Xiao Wen, Karlie Kloss and Lara Stone all opting to wear the metallic shade on their lids. While Bianca and Lara enhanced their eyes with an overdose of the regal shade and nothing else, the rest of the L'Oreal family paired their golden shadow with a dark liner making one eye-catching duo.
To achieve a similar look, cover your lids with a shimmery gold shadow. If you like to get creative with makeup, you can even place small doses of glitter on the outer corners of your eyes and your lower lash line. Enhance your eyes further with a black liner on the top and bottom lash lines for an enviable and glamorous beauty look!
If you were unsure about the dark eye makeup trend, last night's L'Oreal Gold Obsession event should change your mind. The night saw a various amount of different takes on the fall look, including tightly lined and smudged black liner on Barbara Palvin and Karlie Kloss, winged liner on Natasha Poly and graphic, negative space liner on Xiao Jen. No matter what look you're going for, one thing is for certain: black liner is a makeup bag must-have for fall!
While most L'Oreal ambassadors opted to play up their eyes for the gold theme, others went with a bold lip. Cheryl Cole for example, paired her head-to-toe black ensemble with a warm makeup look that incorporated golden brown shadow, a sun-kissed complexion, and subtle, shimmery gold lip gloss.
