Whenever we need some party or evening makeup inspiration, we know to turn to actress and fellow Canadian Laura Vandervoort for her beauty wisdom! Only a few weeks ago, the Bitten star pulled off yet another flawless look for the 3rd annual 'An Evening With Canada's Stars' in Los Angeles on February 25, attending the event in a pink and nude backless dress.
The 31-year-old Torontarian then opted for a romantic chignon with a simple yet glowing makeup look, teaming defined eyes with a rosy lipstick shade for a subtle yet eye-catching finish. How does she do it? As this look is a complete must-have for a dinner date or party, we had to create a helpful makeup tutorial so that you can master it too...

Onto clean, freshly-moisturized skin, apply a thin layer of illuminating primer across your face. This will both create a smooth canvas for your makeup, as well as keeping your foundation fixed in place for longer.
Next, dot a matte liquid foundation onto a soft application sponge, and tap the formula into your skin. Work out from your nose towards the hairline in small circles to ensure an even coverage, then add a touch of color to the apples of your cheeks with a rosy powder blush.
We love how Laura's bright eyeshadow contrasts with the sultry definition of her eyeliner, and how it really brings out the color of her irises!
Start by using a black pencil liner to coat the waterlines of your eyes. Then use the same pencil to add a hint of smoky definition to both your upper and lower lashlines. Use a soft-headed eyeshadow brush to sweep a bright gold shade from your tearducts and across to your outer lashes. Complete your defined eyes with two coats of lash-lengthening mascara.
Give your lips a nourishing coat of lip balm before applying a layer of soft rose-pink lipstick. Blot the lipstick gently with a tissue, then reapply for a more intense shade. Add a light layer of clear lipgloss for a glamorous high-shine finish, and you are ready to hit the party!
