May 15 was another fabulously busy day at the 68th Cannes Film Festival, and it's only day 3! We especially had our eyes on one of our fresh-faced red carpet favorites, Léa Seydoux, as she attended the Cannes premiere of The Lobster: the curious wild card of the festival directed by Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos.
Starring Léa Seydoux alongside Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz, The Lobster is about a warped dystopian future where singletons are arrested and given 45 days to find a mate before they are turned into animals.
Dressed in a pastel blue Miu Miu gown, Léa kept her hair in a gorgeously braided chignon, which is fast becoming the Cannes hairstyle to look out for, to compliment the glittering collar of her dress and Chopard earrings. As we believe the dress is always nothing without perfect makeup to match, we obviously want to take a look at Léa's shimmering beauty selection for this flawless appearance. Follow our simple guide to Léa's lilac look:
Get the Look
A glowing complexion
The base for any beauty look, Léa has kept her skin looking fresh and flawless without a hint of a blemish. Jealous much? Recreate this divine effect with an Infallable matte foundation: use sparingly and spread using a soft makeup brush for a natural cover. Léa has used a light pink blush on the apples of her cheeks to give her a rosy hint of color: a perfect makeup look for spring!
Shimmering eyeshadow for blue eyes
The show-stealer of Léa's red carpet makeup palette is definitely her shimmering eyeshadow - a gorgeous way of adding a hint of glamour whatever the event. Using an eyeshadow quad, smooth a darker, lilac shade into the lash line before blending out into a shimmering silver. Dust the lower eyelids with the same hint of glitter and finish this dazzling eye look with a volumizing mascara.
To match her rosy blush, Léa has opted for a nude-pink lip color for a natural toned-down finish: the perfect balance with a shimmering eye.
