The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Show hit Los Angeles yesterday, October 20, bringing none other than 26-year-old actress Lily Collins to its star-studded red carpet: and didn't she look stunning!
The Love, Rosie star attended the event in a gold shift dress with mid-length voluminous sleeves, a satin sheen and a contrasting plum-colored collar which she matched to her heels, her clutch purse and - of course - to her rich, dark oxblood lipstick shade! Lily then conpleted her makeup look with even more plum power - opting for purple winged eyeshadow - before crowning her whole look with this cute and edgy side-swept take on her signature short bob hairstyle. Whether its her lipsticks, her bold brows or her cute haircut, we just can't get enough of Lily Collins!
While we adored Lily's cute pixie cut, we think we might love her longer, short bob style for its edgy versatility. To follow in her footsteps, ask your stylist for a chin-grazing length for a simple short cut you can style, or else add a bit of Lily's punky edge by asking for shorter layers throughout, getting the best of both short-hair worlds by combining the bob length with the pixie texture.
Smooth a leave-in conditioner through your locks for a high-shine finish, and spritz with heat protective spray.
Blow dry using a round-headed bristle brush to create tension in the strands of hair, pulling the hair upwards while doing so to give your style body and volume.
Separate a section of hair across the top of your head and pin it out of the way. Then use a rich hair oil to smooth down the sides and back of your hair for a semi wet-look effect.
Use a comb to pull the top section of hair over into a side-swept part, using root-uplifting spray to create even more punky volume if necessary.
Finish with a generous mist of hairspray and you are ready to rock!
