Most of us fall into the same makeup routine every day, but sometimes a few super easy makeup tricks are all it takes to take your look to the next level and make you appear more polished. And while most of us save the completely polished looks for an evening out or sophisticated event, why not do the same for your everyday look?
To help you bring your everyday, basic makeup look to the next level, we're giving you three simple tips to try – and don't worry, there is no heavy contouring or glitter eye shadow involved! It's all about enhancing your look with the makeup you already use on a day-to-day basis.
3 EASY TRICKS FOR A MORE POLISHED EVERYDAY LOOKS
DO YOUR BROWS BACKWARDS
Yes, that's correct. Doing your brows backwards (from the outer corners to the inner ones) will help to frame your face better. Before you begin, remember that the most important step in using brow mascara is to desaturate the wand first to get the right amount of product. Then, start at the ends of your brows and go backwards to coat the hairs, then smooth the wand back across the brows. If you have fine brows and you don't go in both directions, you're wasting an opportunity to add fullness!
PUSH BLUSH INTO YOUR CHEEKS
For a more natural flush, push your blush into your cheeks (rather than swiping it). With powdered blushes and bronzers, take a brush and use it to press the powder right into the skin, so it mixes with anything creamy like foundation or cream blush underneath. This will make it look as though the blush is a part of the skin, rather than a powdery layer sitting on top.
DOUBLE UP WITH BROWN AND BLACK LINER
For excellent definition, double up liners with both a black and a brown shade. To start off, use a brown pencil starting in the centre of the eye and extend it out, giving it a little kick at the end (or a slight wing). Then, trace that with black liquid liner, making sure there are no holes in the line. The black liner will give the look just a little more depth!
