Today the world celebrates St. Patrick's Day! To recognize this Irish holiday, we at Get the Look are wearing green in the best way we know how: our makeup! Ready to get inspired?
This gorgeous eye makeup look comes straight off the Diane von Furstenberg Spring/Summer 2016 runway! For this look, the makeup artists were inspired to give models an ocean-inspired smoky eye boasting shades of green and blue.
Get the look: Cover the inner corners, eyelids, and lower lashlines with a shimmery green eyeshadow, then apply blue onto the outer corner and blend out the edges well.
Makeup artists have recently begun applying eyeshadow with a wet brush to make it both brighter and longer lasting. Once finished, the color looks painted onto the skin and it's easier to create very exact shapes... like a graphic cat eye!
Get the look: You'll need an array of blue, green, and black eyeshadows to create this iridescent look. Use a wet angled eyeliner brush to apply navy blue to the inner corner, followed by teal, light green, dark green, and black at the outer corners. For a clean line, use a cotton swab dipper in micellar water to wipe away any fall out.
Add a gloss effect to your eye makeup for a seriously fashion-forward affect! Work the color past your creaslines to create an oval shape around the eyelids.
Get the look: Apply an army green shade of eyeshadow all over the lid and up to the brow bone. Once you've got the right shape, grab a tube of clear lip gloss (yes, really) and go over any areas where you applied color.
Classic smoky eyes are universale and look gorgeous on any eye shape. Here, it's achieved with a shimmery pistachio shade and applied all the way around the eyes.
Get the Look: Apply the color to lids and lower lashlines, then blend out the edges.
