Makeup tutorial: Abigail Breslin's smoky cat eye

Actress Abigail Breslin attended the Los Angeles premiere of her new film, August: Osage County, sporting a super chic smoky cat eye look.

We've said it before, Abigail Breslin is officially all grown up, and judging from her recent red carpet appearances, we think she's trying to spread the word (albeit a little more subtly than, say, Miley Cyrus). At the premiere of August: Osage County, Breslin was spotted wearing a metallic silver and sheer striped gown with a side fishtail braid, and a seductive come-hither gaze (thanks to the help of a sexy smoky cat eye). Wondering how to get the look?

Get the Look

Step one: Start with a perfected base. You can achieve this by applying CC cream under your foundation to cancel out any redness and conceal blemishes. Use your fingers to apply your foundation of choice so that it really "melts" into the skin and looks nice and natural.

Step two: Bring a hint of color to your cheeks by using a blush brush to apply a layer of blush along your cheekbones. Use a light hand so that it looks soft and, again, natural.

Step three: With a soft kohl eyeliner pencil in black or grey, create a cat eye shape along the top lashline. Follow our tutorial to see how it's done! Next, use a short and densely packed shadow brush to blend out the eyelines and soften the look up.

Step four: Apply the same eyeliner lightly to the bottom lashline and then use the same brush to smudge it up ever-so-slightly.

Step five: Apply several coats of mascara to thicken and lengthen your lashes.

Step six: Finish off your makeup with a slick of light pink lipstick. All set!
