Annie Clark (St. Vincent) at The GRAMMY Museum on March 20, 2014

Makeup tutorial: copy Annie Clark of St. Vincent's blue eyed look!

On March 20, 2014, Annie Clark of St. Vincent performed at The Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, California. The special performance was to celebrate the release of her latest album, St. Vincent, which hit stores on February 25.

Aside from the fact that Annie is incredibly talented and has loads of cool friends (David Byrne! Carrie Brownstein!), she's also beautiful and has a great sense of personal style. We've long been fans of St. Vincent's stage style, and though we kind of miss her classic raven-black hair and red lip pairing, we have to say: she looks great as a blonde!

At the event on Wednesday, Annie ditched her typical bold lipstick and opted instead for intense blue eye makeup with white mascara. Want to copy the look? Keep reading...

St. Vincent style

Step one: The trick to high-impact eye makeup is to keep the rest of your beauty look simple. Use BB or CC cream to even out your complexion and follow up with concealer to hide any blemishes or imperfections.

Step two: A touch of blush will bring warmth to the face, but make sure it's a blue-based pink so it doesn't clash too much with the blue eye makeup!

Step three: Fill your brows in with a pencil and then set the hairs with brow gel.

Step four: Now comes the fun part! Using a blue kohl eyeliner pencil, line the top lashline. Then, starting at the inner corner of the eye, follow along the creaseline until you reach the middle. Draw away from the creaseline (toward the browbone) and then down to meet the outer corner of the eye. Once you've created the right shape, fill it in. Finally, line the bottom lashline.

Step five: Give your lashes a coat of white mascara and you're set!
